Nature vs. Nurture
Brief description:
This is a motion graphic to raise the awareness of parents about understanding and nurturing their children’s talent. Background:
In Vietnam, there is a tradition that parents often force their children to do whatever they want. By fully understanding this situation, we want to focus on the nature and nurture of children and provide an ideal that parents should understand about how to bring up the new generation of the society. Through our short motion graphic, we focus on parents and those who are expecting to become ones in the near future. Objectives:
This social welfare advertisement aims to raise parents’ awareness about how to understand and support their children. Hopefully, after seeing this advertisement, parents will ponder for a while to think about this. They will care more about their children, try to understand them and let their children develop their own skills freely and won’t push themConcepts:
The bored child reluctantly pressing the piano keys represents the trend of our society. Parents always force their children to follow their will. The child folds an airplane and throws it to the sky: children want to follow their dream. In this scene, there is a little protest gesture of the child.
The plane transform from paper plane into real plane: The children have true talent. The talent is developing to be a “dream comes true”.
The plane bumps into a dark cloud and falls down: Obstacles exists and the children’s dream easily broke without support.
Blank paper falls on the street. Another child picks it up and starts drawing: There is a chance for the children to develop their talents.
Drawing an amazing picture, however, the child leaves his/her painting easily: the children don’t recognize their talents so they easily give up.
